Turn on AI descriptions with your activation code
The code from your email, the one checkbox, and what the credits are actually paying for.
Without activation the app still finds motion, detects people and vehicles, cuts clips and builds reports — all on your machine. Activation adds the one paid stage: a written description of who and what is in each event. Your activation code came in the same email as the download.
Enter the code
- An amber bar at the top of the window says AI analysis isn't activated on this computer. Click Enter activation code. (If you dismissed the bar, go to Settings → My profile → Subscription and license key → Enter a different key….)
- In Turn on AI descriptions, type or paste the code into Activation code or license key. It is twelve characters; the dashes appear by themselves.
- Tick I have read and agree to the Surveillance Review Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — the two names open the documents in your browser — then click Turn on.
The bar disappears and a credits chip appears top right. That is it — this computer is activated and stays activated.
What credits pay for
Only the descriptions. Adding footage, the motion scan, object detection, clips, the timeline, reviewing, reports and export never use a credit. Click the credits chip, or open Settings → AI usage, to see what is left, roughly how much video it can describe, and what you have used.
If credits run low mid-case the app says so: a bar reads Running low well before, and if they run out, descriptions stop while everything else carries on. Top up and click Fill in descriptions on the footage and it writes the ones it skipped, without disturbing any review you have done. Credits are bought from Settings → AI usage → Buy more credits; see Pricing for the packs.
